Notebook Jottings
When it comes to trying to comprehend the things going on in the world, I have started a journal at work that I keep in a small notebook. There really is no free speech in the United States – especially around certain subjects. There are consequences for thinking and expression. Corporate America does not want that from its subjects.
Of course that notebook has a lot of pages devoted to the current genocide of the Palestinians. It’s a subject that no decent human being can ignore. The influence of the perpetrators of the genocide is so complete, I even hesitate to write this – despite my attempt to remain anonymous.
Israel has lost its legitimacy as a country. That entire colonial project needs to be dissolved. The dissolution of a tyrannical, fascist government will not happen on its own. It will have to be brought down by force – in the exact same way that Nazi Germany was dismantled. Not only should Israel come to an end, Zionism – the ideology that fuels the inhumane blood lust of Israelis also must be extinguished. The Zionist ideology completely rots away all the morals that a normal person would have. I have yet to see a Zionist speak without lying, threatening or gas-lighting their audience.
The past six months have changed me. Learning that people that I had followed on certain social networks for years were targeted and murdered by the Israeli government while in their homes in Gaza has put me in a state of something equivalent to an emotional paralysis. This new reality was the impetus behind my notebook of short essays that I keep at work. I am trying to find a way to process this horror that is being carried out on Palestinians.
Israel is arrogant enough to believe that they can carry out a genocide without any repercussions. Their apparent impunity is only due to the protection that the United States is providing them. The arrogance that consumes Israel – that makes them feel that they can bomb nearly all of their neighbors will be their downfall. There will be a point where some nation will say ‘enough is enough’ and at that point the metaphorical powder keg will go off. The world will change abruptly when that happens. Iran just demonstrated that Israels Iron Dome can be out maneuvered. The hesitation of ending Israels evil reign is due to the fear of repercussions from the United States.
What is ‘the end’ of what Israel is doing going to look like? Why do they think that the world is just going to accept the annihilation of a people so real estate agents can have new beach front properties. They have made it no secret that they don’t intend to stop with Gaza. All of their neighbors will be subjected to the exact same treatment Israel is implementing on Gaza, it’s just a matter of time.
The 2020’s looks to be a decade of global changes – changes that are no longer isolated to individual nation-states. A peculiar global unification seems to taking place. What Israel is showing the world is that when a nation does something like what they are doing, that there needs to be some sort of powerful international body that has the authority to put a stop to it. An international body like the United Nations but with actual power.
But first two countries that currently believe they are untouchable must fall and I think about that quite a bit while I make flexographic plates at work.
